What It Means to Be Dressed for the Wedding Feast: The One Garment That Qualifies the Bride of Christ

The Terms of the Covenant: Dressed or Dismissed

L-FAFA

You Say You Are the Bride

You say you are the Bride. You say you are loved. You say you are ready.

But heaven is not moved by sentiment. Heaven examines garments.

This is not a story. It is a summons. Not to the world— but to the one who wears the ring and claims the covenant.

I do not speak on my own authority. In fact, I have none. I have stood before the bench where scrolls are opened, and verdicts sealed. And from that chamber, I bring this charge:

Will your life testify obedience—or will your garment disqualify you before the Groom?

The Parable: Dressed or Dismissed

In Matthew 22, Jesus tells of a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son. The invitations were sent. The tables were set. The guests arrived.

But when the king entered, he saw a man seated—but undressed. No wedding garment. No reverence. No preparation.

“Friend,” the king asked, “how did you get in here without wedding clothes?” And the man was speechless.

“Tie him hand and foot,” said the king. “Throw him out, into outer darkness.”

He had accepted the invitation. He was in the room. But he was still thrown out—for what he failed to wear.

So I ask you plainly: If God will cast out a guest for attire, will He not cast out a bride for rebellion?

What Is the Garment?

“The Bride has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7)
“Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear—(for the linen is the righteous acts of the saints).”

This is the garment: Not emotionalism during praise and worship. Not church attendance. Not platform or even spiritual gifting. Obedience.

The garment that makes one ready and appropriate for the wedding feast is obedience.

Not perfect performance— but willful, unrelenting submission to the Word.

You may sing like an angel. You may preach. You may even prophesy. But if your life contradicts His commandments— You are improperly dressed.

And no matter how long you’ve been in the room, you will be found out.

Modern-Day Rebellion, Exposed

You say He is Lord— but your will governs you. You say you are surrendered— but your emotions determine your boundaries.

You wear worship like perfume— but you never let Him pierce your flesh.

You sleep with someone you’re not married to and defend it with His grace. You disobey your husband, your father, your spiritual covering—and call it strength. You prophesy while ignoring your own prayer life. You raise holy hands, but live a hidden life.

You want intimacy—without alignment. You want inheritance—without obedience. You want to be chosen— but you refuse to be changed.

And hear this clearly— Your nearness to church, to worship, to ministry— does not fulfill the covenant.

Church attendance does not excuse rebellion. Visibility does not cover disobedience. Being around the things of God is not the same as being under His authority.

And you cannot hide behind your denomination. Being a good Lutheran, or a faithful Pentecostal, or a well-aligned Seventh-day Adventist will not replace the garment of personal obedience.

This is not a corporate covering. It is a personal preparation. You are responsible for the terms. And you will be judged by them.

People of God—Inspect your attire. Look into the mirror of Christ that the Holy Ghost holds before you and ask yourself: Am I dressed for the wedding feast?

Before I go further, let me make this clear: I do not speak these things from a place of moral distance. I speak as one who is also being measured.

The Lord may have given me the assignment to declare this word, but I, too, must bow beneath it.

This word does not excuse me. It confronts me. It does not bend to fit my flaws. It binds me to a higher accountability.

So do not hear this as condemnation from a throne, hear it as warning from the witness stand. I am not above the law that governs the courts of heaven… in fact, I will be judged more harshly, because I carry this word.

The Terms of Heaven

This word is not soft counsel for modern ears. It is the unamended constitution of the Kingdom of God.

The scroll has already been opened. The terms have been declared. The contract has already been signed—in blood.

He will not bend it for you. He will not adjust it for this generation. He will not marry anyone who will not surrender to it.

There will be no rewriting of the covenant. There will be no renegotiation of the terms. There will be no bridal exemption for rebellion.

What has been declared in the courts of Heaven will not be edited to suit the rebellion of earth.

The Case of Jezebel

He will not marry Jezebel—that rebellious bride. He will not crown insubordination and call it intimacy. He will not clothe disorder in white and call it holy. You cannot veil defiance and call it righteousness. You cannot cry at the altar, yet live as your own lord.

Even if He loves her… He will not marry Jezebel— He has already done all that love can do to reconcile her to Himself.

But if she remains unwilling to surrender— then even love will stand back.

Because covenant requires agreement. And where there is no agreement—there will be no union. Where there is no surrender—there will be no wedding.

And with great sorrow we must say this: Hell awaits the rebellious.

The Final Inspection

You are not waiting on Him. He is waiting on you. The feast is prepared. The scroll has been signed. The doors are open. And the Bridegroom is coming.

Child of God… Are you properly attired for His coming…?

Make no mistake—on that glorious day, you and I will be examined. And it will not be our worship, or our large following, or even our spiritual résumé, that He will be looking at.

It will be the fibers of our garment. And if it is found soiled, defiled, or otherwise incomplete— We will be dismissed.

The Bible says: Many are called—but few are chosen.

So let us inspect our dress. This is the hour to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling!

The Bible says no man knows the hour of His return—but He is coming. And the wedding will not wait for your readiness. There will be no time to prepare your garment on that day. The time to examine it, to wash it, to alter it—is now.

Let us stand before the mirror of His Word, whilst we have time… Let us act expediently. Run! To be measured and weighed by the Holy Ghost— The one who convicts the heart and sears the conscience of those who truly desire to please the Lord.

Closing Charge

Bride of Christ—Inspect your dress.

Is it woven in surrender? Or stitched with selective obedience? Are you clothed in reverence? Or wrapped in performance? Do you love Him with your lips, but refuse Him with your life?

You cannot approach the altar in rags. There is a standard. There is a dress code.

And if the King would expel a guest for wearing the wrong thing, how much more will He judge a Bride who refused to prepare for His coming?

Let he who has ears to hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. (Revelation 2:7)

You are the Bride. But only the prepared will be chosen.

He gave His life. Now give Him yours—
Fully. Faithfully. And clothed in the right garment.
